The Praxis ohne Grenzen Hamburg - now a polyclinic outpatient clinic - cares for patients without health insurance in 10 medical specialties including a dental practice and competent social counselling. With this facility and a total of 66 volunteers, the practice is responding to the social challenge that the right to health, guaranteed by international law and the Basic Law, is not guaranteed for patients without health insurance in many areas. Major patient groups are German citizens without health insurance, paperless foreigners and EU citizens without work subject to social insurance contributions.
